Combination Hair Transplantation and Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP)

First a hair transplant and then Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP), stubble tattoo, scalp pigmentation, hair tattoo ?

Or first a Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) treatment and then a hair transplant?

I know from experience that both are possible.

If you choose to do a hair transplant first, there are a number of things you should take into account.

Wait at least 1 year after the hair transplant before starting a Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) treatment.

In that year, the scalp can heal well and you can think again about a follow-up treatment with Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP).

If you choose to do a Micro Hair Pigmentation (Scalp Micropigmentation) treatment first, you can. After all, the needle used in a stubble tattoo or hair tattoo does not go as deep as the hair root so that a future transplant is always possible.

Nevertheless, I advise to first do a hair transplant and then later possibly opt for a follow-up treatment with Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP). I think that’s the most logical choice.

It is a logical order because the problem after a transplant is often the hair density. And that can be improved very nicely with a Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP).

I regularly speak to people who are not satisfied with the hair density after a hair transplant. Not even after multiple transplants.

In general, advice is to first think carefully about what you want and where you have the treatments carried out.

First ask for advice from different specialists and then make a choice.
